The Connemara Railway Project has just taken a further very important delivery of carriage no 1916 – a late 1950’s CIE built Brake Standard – which we have acquired from the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland. The RPSI can no longer use these carriages on the main line, but they are perfectly compatible with Heritage Railway use on isolated lines like ours.
This is the first of two similar coaches which are due at Maam Cross!
